Deciding it’s time for home care is one of the hardest choices you have to make in life. Accepting the need for a little support at home isn’t easy but sometimes, a bit of assistance with the smallest tasks, whether it’s some help to make the breakfast or to have a wash in the morning, can make all the difference and may not be as daunting you might think.
Whether you’re looking for some support for yourself or for a loved one, we know that flexibility and choice are likely to be among your top priorities. At Clarendon Home Care, we pride ourselves on being as adaptable as you need us to be.
Care needs are different from person to person. With a choice of 15, 30, 45 or 60 minute calls (as well as longer calls if required), we have the flexibility to meet your needs. Some of our clients need four regular visits across the day while others need just the odd visit every weekend. With over twenty years of experience responding to the various needs of all kinds of people, our care services are flexible, responsive and always catered for the individual and their specific needs.
Hourly home care visits from Clarendon Home Care cover any of the following:
Sometimes, a little reassurance goes a long way. Many of our clients can still manage most of their personal care but have become anxious about slipping out of the bath or the shower or are unable to manage with certain areas. Whatever your needs, we can help. Whether it is just a matter of prompting and reminding you to do the things you can still do and want to do for yourself or whether it is providing full support for things you can no longer manage, our carers will be on hand to provide whatever care you need in order to carry on feeling good about yourself.
We recognise that many of our clients are concerned about the possibility of falling and this can be a cause of some anxiety for them and for their loved ones. Regular visits from our home care assistants can help alleviate these worries. Not only can a visiting carer help assist with tasks that may result in falls but should the worst occur, they can also raise the alarm and get help for you without delay.
If keeping on top of the housework has started to feel like a struggle, daily home care visits can really help. Our carers regularly support our clients with light housework, laundry and shopping as well as everyday cooking tasks. Daily care visits can help take the anxiety out of the little jobs around the home so that you can go about your day free of worry.
Finding that just one or two household tasks have become a struggle can affect your confidence and make you feel like you are struggling to cope. Like anything else in life, however, sometimes all it takes is a little bit of encouragement or assistance in order to make all the difference. Even if it’s just a reassuring word or a second pair of hands, our home care assistants will work with you to promote your independence and to keep you as active around the home as you want to be.
For over twenty years, we’ve specialised in providing the very best person-centred home care. In that time, the key to our success has been simple: We employ the very best carers who are committed to changing people’s lives.
Following an extensive selection process, all of our Home Care Assistants are trained in-house by our fully accredited training team. All Clarendon Home Care staff must show competencies in being reliable, responsive, supportive, caring, approachable, flexible, thoughtful, personable and thorough.
With regular support from our staff of senior care workers, routine appraisals and on-site supervisions, we meticulously select the right candidates to ensure that we maintain the high standards we’ve become known for.
All of our home care assistants must also be able to demonstrate unquestionable honesty and integrity. We insist on full references and searches on all new employees including Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks.
At Clarendon Home Care, we provide our care staff with the specialist training they will need to rise to the daily challenges of looking after someone in their own home. We also recognise the need for life experience, common sense and a willingness to care for those that need it most.
It would be our pleasure to introduce you to the many different personalities and characters that make up our team of home care assistants.
Costs differ depending on how often you need care and exactly what you require from us. Please contact us to discuss our prices with one of our team. They will be happy to go over our price list with you and to discuss the level of support you need. Rest assured that there are no hidden costs or extras and that the price we agree is the price you will pay.
Contact us on 0208 439 7722 and speak to a member of our team or request a call back.
The first step is to call us and speak to us. This will be an informal chat which can happen face-to-face with one of our senior carers or over the phone with one of our office team, whichever you prefer. We can answer any questions you have and address any fears or worries that may be bothering you.
From there, we’ll work with you, your family and other healthcare professionals to create a bespoke care plan that is designed specifically to meet your needs and routines. We’ll use this document to clarify the level of support you need and to agree upon your expectations of the care we’ll provide.
Don’t worry if your needs start to change. Whether things are getting easier and you need us to do less or if things have become harder and you need more support, we at Clarendon Home Care pride ourselves on the flexibility and adaptability of our care packages. We make sure they evolve to suit you and the level of support you need.
Once we have agreed on what care you need and how you want to receive it, we will introduce you to one of our senior home care assistants who will supervise and oversee all aspects of your care package. After we’ve started to support you, we will review our service at regular intervals and will always be on hand if you need to contact us. That means direct contact with our care workers, senior home care assistants and our office team. No call centres or automated phone systems, just first-hand human contact and the help you need when you need it.
